And more importantly, assuming we don’t know what’s going to happen next, where do we start with anticipating change? ‘Shift’ is the theme of this year’s TYPO Berlin and boy; did Petr van Blokland talk about a shift. In a sixty minute during whirlwind van Blokland introduced the audience to his vision of the future designer. In his presentation Van Blokland explores the old and the new, breaking up principles and believes by introducing things like ‘Automated Design’, calling InDesign an obsolete dinosaur and a confronting truth on numbers.
