Self Publishing with Blurb, speaker: Julia Ossko (Blurb DE) + Eva-Lotta Lamm

TYPO Berlin 2012, 18.05.2012, 16:00 Uhr (TYPO Stage)

Self-publishing has existed for centuries but with the increasing quality of digital printing self-publishing is becoming more and more popular, especially among creative professionals who seek complete creative control and independence in creating their own book, client portfolio, catalogue, or any type of book – and ebook.

Blurb books elevate your brand and showcase your work. With the help of social media self-publishing has become a very efficient way for creative professionals to share their books with their networks. To support this Blurb has developed tools, that make it easy to promote books using Facebook, Twitter, and blogs. It’s just as simple for authors to share an online digital preview of  their book. The exclusive Bookshow™ widget is a book, digitised and miniaturised, so people can actually flip through the pages the author designates. Authors can list their books for sale on the Blurb Bookstore and set their own price, keeping 100% of the profit. The bookstore page will display  a description of the book and an About the Author section. And when someone buys the book, Blurb handles all the ordering, shipping, packaging, etc – at no extra charge.

Learn how to create your book and use the above mentioned tools to market and sell your books, to build a stronger connection and a more sustainable relationship with your clients.
